I’m Julie Witherell, the founder of Julie’s Organizing Services, a woman-owned business established in 2021. Originally launched under the name Jenkins Organizing Services, the company name was updated in 2023 to reflect my personal rebranding.

Credentials and Experience:

• Professional Organizer: I am a Professional Organizers in Canada (POC) Trained Professional Organizer, with a specialization in ADHD and Hoarding from the Institute for Challenging Disorganization®(ICD).
• Business Expertise: I hold a Nova Scotia Community College Diploma in Business Administration (Marketing), with previous experience coordinating operational duties for local and international companies.

From Entrepreneur to Organizer:

In 2009, at the age of 29, I ventured into entrepreneurship to achieve work-life balance and support my family. I co-founded and ran a successful tree pruning, removal, and stump grinding company with six employees, specializing in rope-access techniques for hazardous tree removals, until 2020. I started this venture with a free DIY website and a Kijiji ad. With added SEO strategies and word of mouth, it quickly grew into a well-established internationally accredited arboriculture corporation that continues to operate today under new ownership.

Resilience and Transformation:

In 2018, unexpected circumstances required me to rebuild my life as a mother of a toddler and a seven-year-old while navigating a major career change. I sold my company shares and relied on my organizational skills to downsize from a 2,250 square-foot home on a 3-acre lot to a small apartment, simplifying our surroundings and creating a fresh start for my family.

Turning Challenges into Opportunity:

My experience overcoming adversity became the foundation for Julie’s Organizing Services. I believe everyone deserves a safe, comfortable space that supports their well-being. This journey has also given me the opportunity to live with less, focusing my time, energy, and resources on what truly matters. It’s possible to thrive after life’s unexpected changes, and I’m proud to show my children that resilience and growth are achievable. Through my services, I share the tools and strategies I’ve used to navigate challenges, empowering you to create your own sense of calm, clarity, and organization.

Now in my mid-forties and in my fifth year of business in 2026, I’m thrilled to see my five-year goals come to fruition. My work reflects my values and fuels me in a meaningful way.
